Individual Therapy

Choosing to start therapy is a brave step, and one people often take because they have become exhausted trying to change or solve something by themselves.
Therapy provides a space for you to explore those things that may be tripping you up or keeping you stuck in a dissatisfying cycle. Therapy is focussed on helping you achieve your goals, and I will work with you to think about what you want to get out of therapy. I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Systemic approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help people experiencing difficulties such as stress, anxiety, low mood, post-traumatic stress and dissociation.

Groups
Already freaked out by the idea of groups….. Take a chance and keep reading!
When people think of therapeutic groups they often have images of circles of people and being expected to share their deepest secrets in front of a room of strangers. You'll be please to know, that’s not my idea of groups! For me, groups are about building connection, community and shared compassion. Modern life often forces us into isolation and robs us of opportunities to really connect with others. Groups offer a place to experience our shared humanity, whether it be the successes or the struggles.
I currently provide two group programmes, with more planned for the future.

Reflective Group for Trainee Clinical Psychologists with Personal Lived Experience of Mental Health Difficulties
Eight-week group, meeting online every other week.
Clinical Psychology training can be both a challenging and wonderful journey. It is also complicated, especially for those of us who have experienced first-hand the things we are learning about. Research has shown there can be an ‘atmosphere of stigma and silence’ around being a mental health professional who struggles with their mental health, this can be compounded during training by fears about needing to be ‘good enough’ and wondering if, how and when to acknowledge our lived experiences. If this resonate with you, this group is for you. It is a fortnightly, online, reflective space for Trainee Clinical Psychologists who self-identify as having personal experience of mental health difficulties. This group is an opportunity to connect with others with similar experiences and reflect on our complex place within the system.
Creative Compassion Focussed Group for Health and Social Care Professionals
Six-week face to face group in Llandudno.
Health and social care professionals can be some of the most compassionate people that exist. They spend their lives caring for others, often sacrificing their own health and wellbeing in a drive to do their best for the people around them. The concept of ‘self-compassion’, however, is often something that can feel confusing, alien or luxurious, even when frequently advocating it for others and knowing the benefits of it. This group is designed to allow health and social care professionals a space to explore self-compassion in a fun and creative way and to bridge the gap between what they know and implementing it into their lives. Self-compassion is a skill that can be learnt, and this group provides a space place to practice and grow that skill. This is a face-to-face group happening weekly in Llandudno.
Consultation and Training
Training and workshops provide an engaging forum to upskill your team or service. I offer a range of trainings and workshops with topics including psychological safety, staff wellbeing, building self-compassion, professional identity, lived experience and reflective practice. I can also develop a bespoke package to meet the needs of your organisation, whether it be 5 or 500.

Workplace Wellbeing

We spend a large proportion of our time at work, meaning it has a significant bearing on our health and wellbeing. Workplaces that invest in and support the wellbeing of their staff experience greater staff satisfaction, staff retention and increased productivity.
As a Systemic Practitioner, I recognise the value of providing systemic interventions to workplaces, whether that be training, workshops, reflective practice or something bespoke. If you’re interested in investing in your workforce, I will work with you to consider what will be most useful for your company and explore ways this can be delivered to create meaningful and lasting change.
